Small but Mighty

Latest creation from M&D featured a custom pillow for a newest member to a young family. The client requested something bright and cheerful that was gender neutral. Taking inspiration from the knotted multi-coloured rug already in the space, we decided on a mustard velour with fun rainbow piping. We hope this fun, whimsical pillow will provide Momma with some much needed comfort in the nights to come, as well as compliment the overall décor of the nursery.

M&D Newsletter #4- "Cozy Up"

For M&D’s latest project we were commissioned to design pillows for a newly upholstered sectional for a family- friendly salon.  Our client explained the space is primarily used in the winter months to snuggle in, watch movies and eat lots of popcorn with the whole family (Toby, the gigantic Labrador always welcomed!) Keeping in mind the whole family, we chose fabrics that were not only rich in colour and texture but also easy to maintain and not too fussy.  To keep the space cozy and inviting we created three pillows in a textural chenille fabric in rich oranges and grays and one accent pillow in a large scale ribbon print infused with a touch of orange.  We topped it off with four classic navy velour cushions giving the large sectional lots of comfy options to for long winter naps, relaxing with a cup of tea or marathon movie nights- Pass the popcorn please!

M&D Newsletter #3- "Banquette Refresh"

M&D's latest project was a revamp of a client's kitchen banquette.  The space was open to the family room so we wanted to select fresh fabrics that also coordinated with the existing decor.  The client loved a feature fabric from Sarah Richardson’s latest collection with Kravet that mimicked ocean waves.  From there we chose a fabric in bright yellow ikat, a textural ivory with navy piping and a beautiful velour to tie it all together.  The final look is comfy and casual for a growing family.
