A Re-Cap

Looking back I realize we’ve been a little between on blog spots….so here’s one that’s a re-cap from a project we were so proud to be a part of. Our client requested a wedding day present for her daughter as a surprise. She wanted to feature her daughter and new husband’s combined love of the outdoors with a palette of yellows, greens and some blues. We used a straight-stitch quilting design which highlights the fabrics individually and makes the quilt a perfect fit for a young, modern couple.

Refreshing Blue Quilt

This quilt featured in vibrant blues, yellow and greens was for a custom project for a special little boy upgrading to a “big boy” bedroom. His mom requested something that would stand the test of time in a classic design without too many baby or themed fabrics. We backed this beauty with soft flannel for those cozy winter nights in QC and trimmed it with a classic navy stripe - we’ve never seen a stripe we didn’t like, especially as quilt trim :-) We love the end result of this project, and by our little client’s face we think he likes it too!

Small but Mighty

Latest creation from M&D featured a custom pillow for a newest member to a young family. The client requested something bright and cheerful that was gender neutral. Taking inspiration from the knotted multi-coloured rug already in the space, we decided on a mustard velour with fun rainbow piping. We hope this fun, whimsical pillow will provide Momma with some much needed comfort in the nights to come, as well as compliment the overall décor of the nursery.
